Who we are
Welcome to Whistling Tree! We are a small family living in Wentworth Falls in the beautiful Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. Our home is also home to a huge variety of native animals including wombats, rare Glossy Black Cockatoos, Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos, Gang Gang Galahs, and a huge variety of other birds and animals. We are lucky enough to occasionally see wallabies and echidnas.
Living in this World Heritage area, known for its stunning wilderness and biodiversity, we are increasingly troubled by the rubbish we regularly see discarded in the bush, much of it containing plastics. We are also concerned with the all-pervasive chemicals and plastics used in our daily lives.
We started our plastic-free, all-natural balms and deodorants business out of a deep love for the environment and a growing concern about the impact of everyday products on our health and the planet. Our simple, effective products are kind to both people and the world around us.
We use only natural ingredients, hand make small batches, and our packaging is completely plastic-free. We have our own bee hives from which we extract our raw honey and bees wax.
The Blue Mountains are the traditional lands of the Gundungurra and Dharug people. We recognise their deep connection to the place Whistling Tree calls home.
